How a round works

Three steps and one strawberry

  1. Pick a round

    Twenty-five minutes is the classic. An hour is for the brave.

  2. Stay with Berry

    Lock your phone if you like, and he keeps ripening. Switch to another app for more than 10 seconds and he turns green.

  3. Collect your seeds

    Finish the round and he brings you a seed packet: 7 seeds for 15 minutes, up to 30 for an hour.

Good to know

Is Ripe free?

Yes. Focusing, the windowsill, your stats and the rain sound are free. Ripe Pro is an optional upgrade with custom round lengths, your own tags, your full focus history, extra cups, friends and decorations, and four more natural sounds. It comes as a yearly plan or a one-time purchase, and you'll see the price in your currency before you buy.

Can I buy seeds?

No. Seeds only come from finished rounds and the compost. Ripe Pro opens up more items for the windowsill, but you still buy them with seeds.

What counts as leaving?

Switching to another app for more than 10 seconds. Locking your phone or letting the screen turn off is fine. If you'd rather only end rounds yourself, turn off strict mode in Settings.

Does it work without the internet?

Yes. Everything works offline except buying or restoring Ripe Pro.

What does Ripe know about me?

Nothing about your focus. There's no account, no ads and no analytics, and your rounds stay on your phone. If you buy Ripe Pro, Google Play or the App Store takes the payment and RevenueCat checks it for us. The privacy policy has the details.

Is there an iPhone version?

Yes. Ripe is coming to both Android and iPhone.

Why no music?

Ripe sticks to natural sounds, like rain on the window, ocean waves and a soft knock on wood, so it stays calm while you work.
